Hardware Bring-Up Engineer
Job Description
Our partner is looking for a Hardware Bring-Up Engineer to take ownership of first board and first silicon bring-up for advanced compute hardware, helping turn newly manufactured hardware into a stable, working system.
This is a practical lab focused role with broad technical responsibility across power, clocks, reset, boot, firmware and high speed interfaces. You will be one of the key engineers involved during the earliest stages of hardware validation, identifying whether issues originate from the board, silicon, firmware or software and driving them toward resolution.
You will define and maintain the bring-up process, build reliable lab setups, automate measurements and collect data that can be shared with design, SI, PI, firmware and validation teams. The role also includes characterisation work such as margin testing, shmoo testing and interface validation, with findings feeding directly into board improvements, silicon validation and future hardware revisions.
The position requires someone comfortable working independently in the lab, reading schematics and layouts, using advanced measurement equipment and making practical technical decisions when the expected hardware behaviour does not match what is observed.
