Our client, a business advisory firm, is seeking a Financial Reporting Senior to join its team.

Location: On site with flexibility - Malta

Responsibilities:

As an Accountant (Reporting & Advisory), your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conduct research into financial reporting standards and regulations, particularly IFRS and GAPSME.

• Prepare advisory reports offering guidance on financial reporting matters.

• Draft and review financial statements to ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards.

• Prepare consolidation workings and other financial reporting schedules in line with IFRS or GAPSME.

• Develop and deliver presentations on technical financial reporting topics to clients and internal teams.

• Draft articles covering developments and trends in financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant or currently in the final stages of the ACCA qualification.

• Previous experience in accounting or audit, with an interest in specialising in financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS and GAPSME.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical skills and an interest in technical accounting.

• Commitment to keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
