AI Specialist - Payments & Fintech

Job Description 

Our partner is looking for an experienced AI Specialist, Payments & Fintech to help drive the adoption and implementation of practical AI solutions across the business.

The role will focus on identifying opportunities for AI and automation, building tools, workflows and agents, and turning business challenges into practical solutions. The successful person will work across teams including operations, finance, support, product, legal, payments and engineering.

The position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and is office based with flexability.

Responsibilities:

As an AI Specialist, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Identify opportunities for AI and automation

  • Build AI tools, workflows, agents and automations

  • Turn business needs into practical AI solutions

  • Develop prototypes and internal AI tools

  • Support AI features and integrations

  • Evaluate AI models, platforms and vendors

  • Measure efficiency, cost savings and performance

  • Work with technical and business teams

  • Stay current with AI developments

Requirements:

  • 2+ years implementing AI solutions

  • Hands on AI and automation experience

  • Experience with AI agents and modern AI tools

  • Ability to turn business needs into working solutions

  • Experience with technical and non technical stakeholders

  • Product mindset

  • Strong communication skills

  • Fintech or payments experience preferred

  • High risk payments experience is a plus

Experience building practical AI solutions across multiple business functions, especially within fintech, payments or similar environments, would be particularly valuable.
