Support business units in developing and implementing remediation plans, corrective measures and compensating controls.
Review and update risk policies in response to regulatory developments, audit findings, incidents and changes to the business.
Monitor the effectiveness of controls and ensure identified weaknesses are addressed within appropriate timeframes.
Prepare quarterly reports for the Board covering material exposures, emerging risks, key indicators and mitigation progress.
Coordinate risk-related documentation and support internal audits, external audits and regulatory inspections.
Promote a consistent risk-management methodology across all regulated entities within the group.
Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the compliance framework for the Malta-based regulated entity.
Assess whether internal policies, controls and procedures adequately meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Ensure continued compliance with relevant conduct, governance and prudential requirements.

Work closely with the MLRO and financial-crime function on compliance matters relating to AML, CFT, fraud prevention and financial sanctions.
Provide practical compliance guidance to operational and commercial teams.
Maintain appropriate records demonstrating the organisation’s compliance with its statutory responsibilities.
Requirements:
Senior-level experience in risk, compliance, governance or internal controls within a regulated financial-services environment.
A strong understanding of fintech, payment services, digital banking or alternative financial services.
Experience managing relationships with regulators, auditors and senior internal stakeholders.
