SoC Top Engineer - Senior
Job Description
Our partner is expanding their hardware engineering team and is looking for a Senior SoC Top Engineer to support advanced high performance processor development.
In this role, you will contribute to the definition and integration of complex SoC top level designs, working closely with architecture, RTL, verification, physical design and STA teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the full chip operates correctly by owning critical integration areas such as clock architecture, reset architecture, power related integration, IO planning, PAD integration and signal distribution.
Location: Barcelona, Spain - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
As a Senior SoC Top Engineer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Lead or contribute to SoC top level design and integration activities
• Define and support clock architecture and clock distribution
• Define and support reset architecture and reset distribution
• Work on signal distribution, propagation delay, signal integrity, crosstalk and noise management
• Define and manage external interfaces using PADs, tri state buffers and IO cells
• Support power related integration and multiple power domains
• Integrate multiple IP blocks into the full SoC environment
• Review and support RTL integration
• Work with physical design and STA teams on constraints, timing and implementation needs
• Support debug of SoC integration issues
• Contribute to Lint, CDC, RDC and UPF reviews where needed
• Support tape out readiness and high quality SoC delivery
Requirements:
Senior SoC Top Engineer
• Senior level SoC Top / SoC integration experience
• Proven high performance SoC tape out experience
• Strong clock and reset architecture
• Strong PADs, IOs and signal distribution knowledge
• Power domains and power integration experience
• RTL experience
• Timing constraints and STA interaction
• English level C1
Preferred / Valued knowledge:
• RISC V experience is highly valued
• Lint, CDC, RDC, UPF and debug experience is valued
• Experience with CPU, GPU, NPU, AI accelerator, networking ASIC or high performance SoC environments is valued
• No visa need or contractor availability is strongly preferred
