Web Developer (QA & Maintenance Focus)

Our client is a well-established and fast-growing company within the iGaming sector, headquartered in Malta. With a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and delivering high-quality digital experiences, the company offers a dynamic and modern working environment for technology professionals looking to grow their careers in online gaming.

This role combines web development and quality assurance responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving user experience, and ensuring high application reliability. You will work primarily with React, Next.js, and Node.js environments, helping ensure front-end interfaces and back-end services remain stable, efficient, and bug-free.

Location: Hybrid – Malta

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

  • Perform manual and automated testing for new and existing features within React and Next.js applications.

  • Identify regressions and potential issues before deployment to production.

Bug Investigation & Resolution

  • Monitor error logs and user-reported issues.

  • Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end and back-end bugs efficiently.

Testing & Automation

  • Build and maintain lightweight automated test suites using tools such as Jest or Playwright.

  • Improve testing coverage and reduce repetitive manual checks.

Feature Maintenance

  • Support ongoing maintenance and small feature enhancements across web components and API endpoints.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement business-driven updates

Documentation

  • Maintain clear technical documentation, testing procedures, and troubleshooting records to support internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience working with React, Next.js, and Node.js

  • Good understanding of TypeScript and debugging type-related issues.

  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest or Playwright.

  • Experience using Git or Bitbucket for version control and pull request workflows.

  • Strong attention to code quality and application stability.
