Senior Accounting Team Leader
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Accounting Team Leader to join their team on a full-time, hybrid basis.
The selected candidate will support the accounting leader in managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, while overseeing and coaching a team to ensure high-quality client deliverables.
Location: Hybrid – Mosta
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accounting Team Leader your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist in managing a portfolio of accounting clients across different industries.
Act as a point of contact for client queries, concerns and feedback.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
Supervise, coach, and support team members.
Review client deliverables, including management accounts, accounting files for audits, VAT returns and payroll runs.
Plan client work, prioritise tasks and delegate responsibilities across the team.
Promote communication, collaboration and teamwork within the department.
Contribute to business development through article writing, CPE sessions and conference participation.
Assist with department budgets, monthly billing, team utilisation monitoring and client profitability tracking.
Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant.
Minimum of 3 years of local experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of VAT and payroll legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office tools.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
