Our client is looking for a Senior Accounting Team Leader to join their team on a full-time, hybrid basis.

The selected candidate will support the accounting leader in managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, while overseeing and coaching a team to ensure high-quality client deliverables.

Location: Hybrid – Mosta

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accounting Team Leader your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in managing a portfolio of accounting clients across different industries.

• Act as a point of contact for client queries, concerns and feedback.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

• Supervise, coach, and support team members.

• Review client deliverables, including management accounts, accounting files for audits, VAT returns and payroll runs.

• Plan client work, prioritise tasks and delegate responsibilities across the team.

• Promote communication, collaboration and teamwork within the department.

• Contribute to business development through article writing, CPE sessions and conference participation.

• Assist with department budgets, monthly billing, team utilisation monitoring and client profitability tracking.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant.

• Minimum of 3 years of local experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of VAT and payroll legislation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office tools.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
