Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is suited to a qualified accounting professional with experience managing client portfolios, preparing management accounts, and supporting junior team members.

Location: On-site - Mosta

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide accounting services and respond to client requests in a timely manner

• Supervise and coach junior accountants, including reviewing their work

• Plan and manage deliverables across a client portfolio

• Prioritise workload effectively and ensure deadlines are met

• Provide management with portfolio updates and assist in monitoring team performance

• Prepare accountancy files for audit and liaise with external auditors

• Prepare management accounts in line with relevant accounting frameworks

• Assist in presenting management accounts to clients

• Prepare and submit VAT Returns and Recap Declarations

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant

• Minimum of 3 years’ local experience in a similar role

• Familiarity with payroll processes will be considered an asset

• Foundational knowledge of VAT regulations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office tools

• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
