Job Description
Our client is a well-established professional services firm providing a wide range of legal, corporate, regulatory and advisory services to local and international clients. With a multidisciplinary team and a client-focused approach, they support businesses and individuals across various legal and corporate matters.
Our client is currently looking to hire a Lawyer to join their growing Legal and Corporate team. The selected candidate will be involved in supporting clients with a broad range of legal, corporate and regulatory matters.
Location: Hybrid - Msida
Responsibilities:
As a Lawyer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assisting with legal work related to corporate, immigration, contractual, employment, data protection, compliance, shipping and regulatory matters
Drafting and reviewing legal and corporate documents
Supporting immigration matters, including the preparation of application forms and related documentation
Reviewing and maintaining internal policies
Supporting ongoing client requests within the Legal team’s area of expertise
Monitoring legal and regulatory updates across relevant practice areas
Liaising with competent authorities on behalf of clients when required
Conducting legal research and preparing analysis of cases and jurisprudence
Taking ownership of different projects as they arise
Attending client meetings and providing support to the wider Legal team
Assisting with administrative work when required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Strong working knowledge of legislation and regulation
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Maltese
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
Previous experience within a legal, corporate or professional services environment will be considered an asset
