Financial Planning Analyst
Job Description
Our client is looking for an FP&A Analyst to join their finance team in Malta on a hybrid basis.
The role will focus on financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting senior finance stakeholders with clear insights that help guide business decisions within a fast paced digital environment.
Location: Hybrid - Gzira
Responsibilities:
As a Financial Planning Analyst, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
Analyse financial performance, highlighting trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including tracking actual performance against planned figures.
Maintain accurate financial data across internal reporting tools and finance systems.
Work closely with different departments to collect and validate data needed for reporting and analysis.
Assist with management reports, business reviews, and ad hoc financial projects.
Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal policies and accounting standards.
Support the Head of Controlling with deeper financial analysis and business performance insights.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, reporting, controlling, or a similar finance position.
ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or similar qualification would be considered an asset.
Strong Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, formulas, and financial modelling.
Experience using ERP, reporting, or finance systems.
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools would be beneficial.
Previous experience in iGaming, affiliate marketing, or a fast paced online business would be a strong plus.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to explain financial information clearly.
Comfortable working with different teams and supporting senior stakeholders with accurate, useful data.
