IT Administrator
Job Description
Our client is seeking an IT Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of local infrastructure operations while acting as a link between Head Office directives and local implementation. The position supports coordination with external vendors, management of IT assets, enforcement of security protocols (including ISO27001), and delivery of effective network and systems support.
Location: On-site / Flexible – Gzira
Responsibilities:
As an IT Administrator, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Coordinate with infrastructure and procurement suppliers through regular meetings to ensure service delivery and SLA compliance.
Act as the primary point of contact between the local IT function and the Head Office team.
Implement and maintain network security standards, protocols, and procedures defined by Head Office.
Serve as the local contact for ISO27001 audits, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
Provide training and support to IT Support Analysts on network and systems topics.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, routing, and VLAN-related problems.
Configure, maintain, and support access control systems (e.g., turnstiles, biometric devices).
Review and validate supplier change requests, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to processes.
Participate in agile team activities to support alignment with IT operations and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
2–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration.
Experience managing vendors, procurement processes, and contracts.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management frameworks.
Exposure to audits and security compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications in networking, security, or systems administration are advantageous (e.g., CCNA, ISO27001, CompTIA Network+).
Strong knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
Experience configuring and maintaining network hardware, including switches and routers.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
Experience managing Entra ID and licensing.
Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
Experience with IT asset management and lifecycle processes.
Knowledge of endpoint management tools such as JAMF and Microsoft Intune.
Hands-on experience with enterprise tools and platforms (e.g., firewall solutions, ticketing systems, collaboration tools, and cloud services).
