Our client is a Malta based corporate advisory firm offering accounting, corporate, and fiduciary services across a range of industries.

For this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records, handling tax and reporting obligations, and supporting the overall client relationship while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

Location: Hybrid - Malta (2 days remote, 3 days from office after probation)

Responsibilities:

As a Client Accountant, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong client relationships

• Maintaining accurate accounting records in line with IFRS or local standards

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts

• Coordinating audits and liaising with external auditors

• Managing own workload, deadlines, and reporting timelines

• Supporting ad hoc financial reporting and accounting tasks

• Liaising with Maltese authorities when required

• Reviewing work of junior team members

• Supporting onboarding of new clients

• Identifying improvements in processes and systems

• Identifying opportunities for additional services

Requirements:

• ACCA qualified or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years experience in client accounting, ideally within a CSP environment

• Strong knowledge of IFRS or equivalent accounting standards

• Good understanding of Maltese VAT and tax legislation

• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting audits

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• High attention to detail and integrity

• Strong digital skills

• Experience with Xero or similar systems is an advantage

• Fluency in English
