OCP Networking Architect (Senior)
Job Description
Our client is expanding their systems and hardware architecture function and is looking for a Senior OCP Networking Architect to drive OCP based networking and data center solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with PCB teams, system architects, backend leads and customers to define OCP based solutions that meet technical, quality and scalability requirements.
You will support platform direction across AI data center infrastructure, networking architecture and hardware connectivity.
Location: Barcelona, Spain - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
As a Senior OCP Networking Architect, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Define OCP based rack and data center architecture solutions
• Work with PCB teams and system architects to translate requirements into platform solutions
• Support architecture decisions for scale up and scale out networking
• Guide solutions involving Ethernet, InfiniBand, UEC, UALink, AFL and related technologies
• Collaborate with backend leads, customers and internal engineering teams
• Review data center networking requirements for AI infrastructure
• Contribute to switching architecture and topology decisions
• Ensure solutions meet performance, quality and customer requirements
• Support documentation and technical alignment across stakeholders
• Guide technical teams toward suitable OCP platform solutions
Requirements:
• 8 plus years of relevant experience
• Experience architecting racks or data centers based on OCP solutions
• Working knowledge of OCP standards and reference designs
• Experience with complex PCB designs, high frequency signals and tight routing resources
• Knowledge of scale up and scale out networks
• Experience with data center networking
• Experience with switch architecture and Ethernet based protocols
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and management support
• Knowledge of AI data center hardware and firmware requirements
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• English level C1
• Bachelor, Master or PhD
Preferred / Valued knowledge:
Experience working with RISC V architecture is highly valued, especially within processor, SoC, RTL, verification, firmware, software, PCIe, DDR, PCS, DFT, Physical Design or hardware environments.
