Our client is expanding their Verification function and is looking for an experienced Lead Verification Engineer with a strong background in microprocessor architecture and team leadership.

In this role, you will lead the Verification Team and play a key role in ensuring the correctness and functionality of complex digital designs at Register Transfer Level, according to architectural specifications. You will guide verification strategy, apply advanced methodologies and tools, and support the validation of high performance processor designs.

Location: Barcelona, Spain - Hybrid

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Verification Engineer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Lead and mentor the Verification Team, ensuring technical excellence and delivery

• Define and execute verification strategies for complex RTL designs based on architectural specifications

• Develop and oversee verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM

• Manage regression environments using scripting and automation tools

• Perform block level, sub system and top level verification

• Apply formal and dynamic verification techniques

• Analyze and debug simulation results, providing clear technical direction

• Collaborate closely with architecture and RTL design teams

• Ensure best practices in verification methodologies and processes

Requirements:

• Master or PhD in Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field

• English level C1 or higher

• 8+ years of relevant industrial experience

• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash or TCL

• Experience with simulation and regression tools

• Knowledge of revision control systems such as git or svn

• Experience in block level, sub system or top level verification

• Experience with formal and dynamic verification methodologies

• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Proven experience leading verification teams
