Accounting Clerk
Job Description
Our client is seeking an Accounts Clerk to support the Finance function with routine accounting and administrative duties, ensuring accurate processing of financial information and timely internal reporting.
Location: Hybrid – Mosta
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Clerk, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Issue sales invoices, including collecting required inputs, preparing invoices, circulating them for internal review and approval, and posting them on the accounting system
• Batch, scan and process purchase invoices prior to approval, ensuring alignment with pre approved purchase orders and budgets
• Coordinate with the Senior Accounts Clerk on invoice review and posting
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate creditor records
• Issue monthly statements to debtors
• Update and post bank statements, bank transactions and bank charges
• Prepare creditor lists and support fortnightly payment runs
• Set up bank transfers for authorisation and post transfers and cheques at the time of payment
• Process supplier invoices through online payment platforms where applicable
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic filing systems
• Handle day to day finance correspondence and administrative tasks
• Assist with departmental expense reporting
• Review travel and expense reports, manage per diem advances and reimbursements
• Process overseas employee expenses via expense management systems
• Handle petty cash administration
• Liaise with auditors and provide requested documentation
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an accounts or finance support role
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage routine deadlines
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
