Legal Officer - CSP
Job Description
Our client is a well-established firm that provides a wide range of services within the regulatory and corporate sectors. They support businesses with compliance, licensing, advisory, and operational solutions, particularly within highly regulated industries. With a multidisciplinary team and a client-focused approach, they assist both startups and established entities in navigating complex legal and financial frameworks.
They are looking for a detail-oriented Lawyer to support their Legal and Corporate team with corporate, immigration, compliance, and regulatory work, providing hands-on legal support, drafting documentation, liaising with authorities, and assisting clients in a fast-paced CSP environment.
Location: Hybrid - Msida
Responsibilities:
As a Legal Officer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide legal support across a broad range of matters, including corporate, immigration, contractual, employment, data protection, compliance, regulatory, and shipping related work
Draft, review, and update legal and corporate documentation
Assist with immigration processes, including preparation and compilation of documentation for work permits and residency applications
Review, update, and maintain internal policies and procedures
Support ongoing client requests within the scope of the legal team’s expertise
Track and monitor legislative and regulatory developments across relevant legal areas
Liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities on behalf of clients when required
Conduct legal research and prepare clear, well-structured legal analysis and summaries
Take ownership of ad hoc legal and corporate projects as they arise
Attend client meetings and provide hands-on support to senior legal team members
Assist with general administrative tasks related to legal and corporate work
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Solid understanding of applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines efficiently
