Corporate Sales & Business Development Executive
Job Description
We are launching a major national business event that will bring together leading organisations, professionals and decision-makers across multiple industries. The event will include exhibitions, conferences and corporate hospitality elements. We are looking for a high-performing Corporate Sales & Business Development Executive to lead all commercial sales activity. This role is perfect for someone who is hungry, polished, persuasive and driven by results. You will take ownership of the full sales cycle for all commercial offerings related to the event:
• Sponsorships
• Exhibition stands
• Corporate ticketing packages
• Hospitality & premium experiences
• Bespoke branded activations
You will open doors, pitch with confidence, negotiate with clarity and close with conviction. Once a deal is finalised, an Account Manager will take over delivery but you are the architect of the commercial success.
Location: Hybrid - Mosta/San Ġwann
Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Sales & Business Development Executive, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Drive revenue across all commercial categories.
• Create, manage and convert a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct outreach to potential sponsors, partners and exhibitors.
• Tailor proposals to client needs and articulate ROI convincingly.
• Negotiate pricing and packages professionally and strategically.
• Identify new industry verticals, target segments and partnership opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with corporate decision-makers.
• Represent the event in meetings, presentations and networking activities.
• Upsell and cross-sell as opportunities arise.
• Nurture long-term relationships with clients to drive renewals and repeat business.
• Maintain consistent communication with prospects and partners.
• Ensure seamless handover of closed deals to the Account Management team.
• Work with marketing to support lead-generation campaigns.
• Provide market insights, feedback and competitor intelligence.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly commercial reporting.
• Contribute ideas to enhance commercial packages and the customer experience.

Requirements:
• 3+ years in B2B sales, partnerships, sponsorship sales or business development.
• Proven record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
• Experience selling into mid-sized and enterprise-level organisations.
• Background in events, media, HR services, recruitment or corporate services is an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• High emotional intelligence and interpersonal charm.
• Strong negotiation skills and a consultative sales approach.
• Confidence dealing with senior executives and diverse personalities.
• Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously with discipline.
• Structured pipeline management and CRM proficiency.
• Professional, polished and commercially astute.
