Commercial Finance Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a finance leader Commercial Finance Manager behalf of a highly dynamic and incredibly exciting company within the gaming sector. We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Finance Professional to support a broad range of operational and commercial finance activities. This role works closely with senior leadership and requires a hands-on operator who can manage daily finance tasks while contributing to strategic planning, forecasting, and process optimisation across a multi-entity group.
Location: Hybrid - Malta
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Finance Manager, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in partnership with senior leadership.
- Prepare, review, and analyse management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide clear, insightful commentary to influence decision-making.
- Improve financial processes through automation, standardisation, and enhanced reporting.
- Assist with treasury, cash management, and audit preparation; work directly with external auditors when required.
- Provide business partnering support to operational teams, aligning financial outcomes with company objectives.
- Oversee and support day-to-day transactional finance activities within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) strongly preferred (must-have).
- 3–5 years of commercial finance or financial controlling experience, ideally within the iGaming or digital services sector (must-have).
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage high-pressure deadlines and fluctuating workloads (must-have).
- Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and confident communication with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience in lean finance teams or fast-growing business environments.
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Self-motivated team player with a “roll up your sleeves” approach and strong commercial awareness.
