Data Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with a strong expertise in using business intelligence and data visualization tools to translate data to commercial insights, helping organization to generate impactful and accurate decisions on behalf of a highly dynamic and incredibly exciting company within the gaming sector.
Location: Hybrid - Malta
Responsibilities:
As a Data Analyst, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support data-driven business decisions.
- Support monthly reporting cycles, identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, or performance gaps.
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks across products and player behaviour.
- Validate operational data across internal systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Review business performance and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of business cases.
- Analyse business processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Assist in shaping internal data structures, reporting standards, and documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting support as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in analytics, data science, or a similar role within the iGaming industry.
- Strong understanding of forecasting models, player segmentation, and quantitative analysis.
- Proficient with Tableau or any comparable BI tool.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Programming skills (any language) are considered a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and communicate analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to details.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and visual manner.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently while also collaborating across teams in different locations.
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting business needs and priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with a structured approach to tasks and documentation.
