Nordic Compliance Manager
Job Description
Our client, an international leader in the iGaming and technology space with offices across multiple locations, is looking for a Compliance Manager – Nordics to join their Malta-based team. This role focuses on ensuring full regulatory compliance across Nordic markets and managing all related licensing activities.
Role Overview
The Compliance Manager will oversee all compliance operations for the Nordic jurisdictions, acting as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external advisors. The position involves maintaining licences, managing audits and reporting obligations, implementing compliance frameworks, and supporting internal teams with policy alignment and risk management.

Responsibilities:
As a Nordic Compliance Manager, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Regulatory and Licensing Management
- Lead and manage the licensing process for gambling operations in Nordic markets
- Act as the primary advisor on compliance matters within the region
- Identify, address, and escalate non-compliance issues proactively
- Liaise with local regulators and maintain strong professional relationships with relevant authorities and legal advisors
- Ensure timely submission of reports to gambling, tax, and other competent authorities
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews as needed
- Oversee licence maintenance and regulatory reporting obligations
- Review and approve product and marketing materials to ensure compliance with Nordic regulations
Operations and Policy Management - Draft, maintain, and update compliance-related policies and procedures, including AML and Responsible Gaming documentation
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure processes meet local regulatory standards
- Support AML and RG processes for Nordic operations

Internal Guidance and Support
- Provide advice, training, and guidance on compliance matters across departments
- Support customer support, AML, and responsible gaming teams with complex cases
- Assist technical and product teams with regulatory interpretations and approvals
- Keep management informed of relevant regulatory changes and developments
- Translate compliance-related materials between English and a Nordic language when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a gambling compliance role, ideally focused on the Swedish market
- Fluency in at least one Nordic language (Swedish preferred) and professional English proficiency
- Strong understanding of Nordic gambling laws, AML requirements, and consumer protection regulations
- Previous experience in the gaming or online entertainment industry (poker knowledge is a plus)
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic regulatory environment
- Proficient with digital tools and compliance systems
