Regulatory Legal Officer
Job Description
Our client, a leading multinational digital brand serving the iGaming industry, is seeking a Regulatory Legal Officer to join their growing team in Malta.
In this role, you’ll be central to global compliance operations, ensuring the business maintains integrity and confidence across multiple jurisdictions. It’s an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who can interpret complex regulatory frameworks, drive operational excellence, and build strong relationships with regulatory authorities.
Location: Hybrid - Gzira
Responsibilities:
As a Regulatory Legal Officer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Monitor, interpret and apply complex regulatory frameworks across iGaming and Forex/trading jurisdictions to ensure compliant operations.
- Develop and update internal compliance policies and deliver training to relevant teams.
- Manage regulatory inquiries, audits and requests, acting as the primary point of contact for authorities.
- Draft and review internal compliance documentation aligned with current legislation.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, representing the company in meetings.
- Oversee responses to regulatory issues and coordinate corrective actions across teams.
- Prepare legal assessments, compliance reports, and risk evaluations to support business decisions.
- Provide regulatory guidance for market expansion and licensing applications.
- Support compliance monitoring and internal audits to strengthen internal controls.
- Conduct due diligence for license renewals and regulatory submissions.
- Serve as a central link between Legal and Operations to ensure cohesive execution of compliance initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in regulatory or compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of the iGaming and affiliate industries is highly advantageous.
