Our client, a well-established business advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Senior Team Leader to join their growing team.

Location: On site - Mosta 

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Senior Team Lead, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manage a small team of tax professionals and liaise with clients and tax authorities on a daily basis.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns and related filings.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, providing leadership and training.
• Stay updated on local and international tax laws and provide advice to clients accordingly.
• Ensure clients remain continuously compliant with income tax legislation.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the tax service line.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote tax services through seminars, webinars, and other channels.
• Conduct research to identify new opportunities and enhance service offerings.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified, holding either a Master’s in Accountancy degree or an ACCA qualification.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese income tax matters, including but not limited to tax payment and refund mechanisms, fiscal unity, capital gains tax, notional interest deduction, and double taxation relief.
  
• Good understanding of the international tax landscape, including ATAD, OECD Treaties, the Interest and Royalties Directive, and the Parent-Subsidiary Directive.
  
• Results-driven with excellent planning and organisational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
