Associate Tax Advisor
Job Description
Our client is a well-established firm that provides a wide range of services within the regulatory and corporate sectors. They support businesses with compliance, licensing, advisory, and operational solutions, particularly within highly regulated industries. With a multidisciplinary team and a client-focused approach, they assist both startups and established entities in navigating complex legal and financial frameworks.
Our client is currently looking to hire an Associate Tax Advisor to join their growing tax team. The selected candidate will be involved in delivering a broad range of tax services to both local and international clients.
Location: Hybrid - Msida
Responsibilities:
As a Associate Tax Advisor, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting clients with matters related to direct taxation
- Preparing written tax opinions as required
- Supporting tax compliance tasks including income tax returns and refund claims
- Liaising with auditors on tax-related topics
- Providing advice and assistance to clients on meeting their fiscal obligations
- Supporting clients in structuring their corporate and personal tax affairs efficiently
- Assisting individuals with residency-based fiscal requirements
- Ensuring high levels of client service and responsiveness
Requirements:
- ACCA qualification or equivalent
- One to two years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of local and international taxation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese
- Knowledge of Italian is considered an asset
