Our client is seeking a motivated and self-driven Client Accountant to join its accountancy team. The role will involve maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements and assisting with the preparation of financial and management reports.

Location: Hybrid - Msida

Responsibilities:

As a Client Accountant , your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintain, update and finalise accounting records.

• Process financial and accounting information within the relevant accounting systems.

• Complete and submit personal income tax returns.

• Handle the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

• Produce management accounts and trial balances.

• Maintain cash books and accounting journals.

• Support the completion of financial statements and other financial reports.

• Liaise with the relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities.

• Collaborate with the wider accounting team to complete assigned tasks accurately and within the required deadlines.

Requirements:

• ACCA or University of Malta accounting qualification.

• Previous experience working within an accounting team would be considered an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be considered an advantage.

• Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Maltese.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to changing business requirements.

• High level of integrity when handling confidential information.

• Awareness of financial and operational risks.
