They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their infrastructure's automation, scalability and reliability.

A seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in GCP and Cloudflare, passionate about building resilient systems and optimizing CI/CD workflows. You thrive in dynamic environments, solving complex challenges while ensuring security and performance at scale.

Location: Hybrid – Malta / Sofia, Bulgaria

Responsibilities:

As a the Senior DevOps Engineer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS services including Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, and Cloud Build.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support smooth code deployment and operational workflows.
• Optimize serverless (Cloud Run) and containerized environments for performance and scalability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible for consistent provisioning.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules and bot protection
• Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) policies
• Tunneling solutions for secure database integrations (e.g., Cloudflare Tunnel to GCP Cloud SQL)
• Enforce secure IAM role management and service account policies within GCP.
• Perform regular vulnerability scans and manage system audit logging and compliance protocols.
• Apply Zero Trust security models for network and application access.
  

Requirements:

• Experience in managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, ideally within cloud-native and security-focused environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, and Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD implementation and management.
• Advanced knowledge of Cloudflare Enterprise features such as Workers, KV, WAF, ZTNA, and bot management.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Zero Trust security principles and cloud-based access controls.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
