They are seeking a seasoned Head of Technology to drive their technical initiatives and lead a high-performing global team.

Location: Hybrid / Remote – Malta

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for leading and executing the company’s technical roadmap, overseeing cross-functional teams, and ensuring operational excellence across all technology initiatives. The role involves managing a distributed team of developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and IT engineers, with a focus on delivering projects that drive business growth.More specifically but not limited to:

• Manage and mentor a global team of developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and IT engineers through their team leads.
• Drive operational excellence across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality deliverables and seamless project execution.
• Set clear goals, monitor performance, and hold team leaders accountable for achieving milestones.
• Conduct regular reviews and implement strategies to optimize team efficiency and performance.
• Develop training programs to enhance technical skills and foster a high-performance culture.
• Travel regularly to company offices to align teams with business goals and maintain a cohesive operational structure
• Own the delivery of the company’s technical roadmap, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with product and quality assurance teams to align development efforts with company targets.
• Identify and resolve potential roadblocks proactively, maintaining a results-driven approach.
• Oversee planning, execution, and completion of development projects, ensuring alignment with company standards.
• Drive continuous improvements across cloud operations, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and IT infrastructure.
• Promote automation and efficiency, ensuring rapid delivery without compromising quality.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and implement cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
• Maintain high standards for platform performance, security, and uptime.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading development operations, preferably within digital marketing, affiliate marketing, or online services.
• Strong background in managing remote and international teams, driving performance, and meeting business objectives.
• Expertise in software development methodologies such as Agile and Lean.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (including Angular & React), WordPress, and Cloudflare Workers.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud operations.
• Advanced knowledge of website security practices, including configuring Cloudflare WAF, SSL/TLS encryption, and DDoS protection.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Willingness to travel frequently to company locations for team management and operational oversight.
